How long do hospitals have after discharge to resubmit a corrected claim on a Medicare inpatient? Where can this information be found?Thanks much.

ALL MEDICARE CLAIMS HAVE A ONE YEAR LIMIT FOR FILING AND REBILLING, HOWEVER, I WOULD NEVER WAIT, ALWAYS RESUBMIT UPON FINDING ERROR. IF ONE YEAR HAS PASSED SINCE FILING, APPEAL.NANCY

No, physician claims don't have a year either. They have until the end of the following year, unless the claim falls within the last three months of a year, then you have until the end of the year,...
